Vessels Informed by Vital Organs
The body is the vessel through which life is housed. Within this vessel are vital organs that carry out functions for life. Each piece in this body of work is based on a different vital organ, as the form relates to the form of the organ and the surface is informed by microscopic imagery of that organ's tissue. Through this I begin to notice patterns in the body according to function such as the layers in skin, the spongy appearance of liver, chaos in the brain, or airiness in the lungs.
